In order to ensure that basic hygiene principles are adhered to when cleaning your home we recommend that the cleaners use ‘Colour Coded’ cloths and gloves. In addition, we recommend that the cloths and gloves should be stored in the area in which they will be used.

The Colour Coding Sheet,should be easily visible in your cleaning cupboard, sets out the recommended use for these materials.

Microfibre cloths which can be used damp or dry are brilliant for wiping fingermarks etc from doors, light switches etc. They are also excellent when used as dusters as they collect the dust in the fibres, rather than redistributing it around your home.

Fastnet sponges are excellent for lifting dirt, and stubborn sticky areas without scratching surfaces.

Microglass cloth (the green one) provides an excellent smear-free finish to windows and mirrors.

Jay cloths.are useful wipes for general cleaning around the home.

Colour Coded rubber gloves are a must to protect your cleaner.

Use of BLEACH is NOT recommended and is not covered on our insurance policy.

We also recommend a small first aid kit be supplied for the cleaner in case of accidents. This is obviously kept on your premises and can be purchased from any major chemist.
